Many critics weren’t too pleased with Taylor Swift’s performance in Valentine’s Day, but she’s sure to redeem herself with her new role in the upcoming film adaption of Les Misérables .
Le High Valley Live reported the country cutie was offered the role of Eponine, whose parents will be played by Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen. Yes, Borat is in Les Misérables.
And reports are suggesting Swift is also on board with the casting decision. As she should be because other huge stars like Glee’s Lea Michele, Evan Rachel Wood and Scarlett Johansson were being considered for the role.
E! Online reported Mama Mia’s Amanda Seyfried is in the final stages of negotiations to play Cosette, whose mother, Fantine, will be played by Anne Hathaway. Don’t really see how Anne, 29, is old enough to play Amanda’s, 26, mother, but guess we’ll have to watch the film first before we judge.
Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and My Week With Marilyn’s Eddie Redmayne will also star in the film.
Aside from acting in the film of a million stars, Swift’s acting credentials also include a guest appearance on one episode of CSI.
